A smile you'll want to show off

Maybe a chip, a gap, or a few stains have you smiling with your lips closed in photos. Or maybe you're ready for a brighter look. Either way, we can help you get there with whitening, bonding, Invisalign, or veneers.

At Family Dental Care of New Hampshire, we don't believe in cookie-cutter smile makeovers, and we don't believe in pressuring patients into anything. Our cosmetic dentists in Milford and Henniker take time to understand what you want to change and walk you through every option. The goal is always a smile that looks like yours, just better.

What happens at your cosmetic consultation

Your first visit with a Milford cosmetic dentist starts with a conversation about your goals.

  • 01

  • 02

We check your teeth and gums to make sure they're healthy enough for cosmetic work.

  • 03

We take digital impressions instead of messy molds.

  • 04

Your dentist walks you through the options that fit, with the trade-offs of each.

  • 05

You decide when you're ready, with no pressure to commit on the spot.

What cosmetic dentistry covers

Whether the change you want is subtle or significant, our team offers a range of cosmetic dental services across our Milford and Henniker offices to help you get there.

Invisalign, whitening, veneers, and bonding are available at both offices. Botox is offered at our Henniker office.

Invisalign

Clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the right position, without the brackets, wires, or tightening that traditional braces require. They're removable for meals and brushing, comfortable to wear, and nearly invisible in everyday life. Treatment time varies by case, and we'll walk you through what to expect at your consultation.

We're a 2026 Invisalign Pearl Provider. If aligners aren't a fit for you, we also offer clear braces.

Teeth Whitening

If coffee, tea, or time has dulled your shade, you can whiten at home with custom trays or in-office in a single visit. We set the gel strength and schedule around your sensitivity.

Veneers

Thin, custom-crafted shells bonded to the front of your teeth to cover chips, gaps, deep stains, or shape irregularities. Veneers can correct what whitening and Invisalign can't, and they're designed to look like the rest of your smile. We talk through every step before treatment begins, including how the final result will look, so you know what you're getting before we start.

Bonding

A small chip, gap, or uneven edge might not need a veneer. Bonding reshapes it with tooth-colored resin, often in one visit.

Botox (Henniker office)

At our Henniker office, our team offers Botox for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. On the cosmetic side, it can soften fine lines and smooth wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. Therapeutically, it can be used to help with conditions like jaw tension and tooth grinding. Ask us if it might be right for you.

Checkups and advanced care

Cosmetic work starts with healthy teeth and gums. When you need a cleaning, a filling, implants, or sleep apnea treatment, our team handles that too.

No-pressure consultations and flexible monthly financing.

Most cosmetic procedures aren't fully covered by dental insurance, though a plan may pay toward a treatment that also repairs damage, like a crown on a cracked tooth.

Our In-Office Savings Plan includes discounts on additional treatment, and Invisalign has special pricing a few times a year. We'll walk you through each option before you commit.

My dental hygienist, Meiber, was very gentle with my teeth, and the dentist, Dr. Shedd, gave me positive feedback! Very grateful I made the switch; thank you all!”

FAQ

Things you might be wondering

It depends on how much your teeth need to move. Invisalign shifts the teeth themselves, so it suits crowding, gaps, and bite issues. Veneers change how the front of your teeth looks without moving them, which can work for minor unevenness. Our cosmetic dentists in Milford and Henniker will show you which fits your goals and timeline.
Yes. Our entire approach to cosmetic dentistry is built around enhancing what you already have, not replacing it. Whether you're whitening, straightening, or covering imperfections, we design every result to look like a healthy version of your own smile. If you're getting veneers, a temporary set lets you try the shape and length before the final ones are made.
It depends on the treatment and your care. Whitening can last years with good care, though coffee, tea, and red wine affect how often you touch up, and veneers can last many years with regular checkups. Invisalign results are designed to be permanent as long as you wear your retainers as directed.
Most patients find both comfortable. Bonding usually doesn't need numbing, since we're adding resin to the tooth rather than removing it. Whitening can cause short-lived sensitivity, so we set the gel strength and schedule around it. If you're nervous, nitrous oxide and our comfort menu can help you relax through any visit.
Usually, yes. Veneers and bonding are matched to the shade of your teeth at the time, and whitening won't lighten them afterward. If you'd like a brighter smile overall, whitening first sets the shade your veneers or bonding will match, and your Milford cosmetic dentist can plan the order with you at your consultation.
